“Market trends and business challenges in security and privacy requirements engineering”
Aljosa Pasic, ATOS
Very often research results create unrealistic market expectations, based mainly on wrong assumptions regarding the future technological advances and technology adoption. Security and privacy requirements engineering, in the context of research projects, is similarly more looking at technology challenges, rather than alignment with business requirements that are likely to have more impact on research results adoption. This presentation will give an overview of the link between security and privacy engineering to the market readiness of research results. It will further present the ongoing ICT security market trends and business challenges in order to illustrate the gaps, the challenges or potential strategies for the future directions in security and privacy requirements engineering.
